II Meeting of EUROSAI Task Force
was held
ІІ Meeting of EUROSAI Task Force on
the Audit of Funds Allocated to
Disasters and Catastrophes was held
on June 24-25, 2010, Kyiv, Ukraine.
The meeting was attended by the
representatives of 10 SAIs, United
Nations Development Program,
National Academy of Sciences of
Ukraine as well as interested
Ukrainian ministries and government
authorities.
The participants of the meeting
shared information and experiences
on such issues as early warning and
natural disaster response and also
the cost-increasing factors when
preventing and eliminating the
consequences of man-caused
disasters in industrial sector.
The Accounting Chamber of Ukraine
as the Task Force Chair presented
for the consideration of the Task
Force members and other meeting
participants its prior proposals as
to the methodological
recommendations for the SAIs
regarding auditing disaster-related
issues based on best audit
practice, draft glossary of terms
on auditing the funds allocated to
disasters and catastrophes, draft
database of the disaster-related
audits in Europe and updated
web-site of the Task Force, as well
as the cooperative audits planned
within the Task Force activities
for 2010-2011.
